From March 20 to 24, 2022 Bpifrance accompanied 22 French companies from the Cultural and Creative Industries sectors to Dubai for an Explore & Match French Touch mission. Find the documentary made on this occasion!

6 hours by plane from Paris, in the heart of the Persian Gulf, Abu Dhabi and Dubai – crossroads of finance and world trade – welcome the cultural know-how and the commercial attractiveness of France. From the French Art de vivre, through culture, it is from here that La French Touch has established itself on the Middle Eastern markets. An expansion told by the short documentary produced by Bpifrance on the occasion of Explore & Match mission French Touch. Beyond the immersion in the area, the documentary gives the floor to the companies selected to test the UAE market as well as to the actors of the local Cultural and Creative Industries.

  1. With the ambition of becoming one of the world's luxury capitals, Dubai represents 30% of the turnover of the Middle Eastern luxury market.
  2. The GDP of the United Arab Emirates reaches 391 billion dollars. France has been able to hold its own in the area and posts 3,3 billion euros in exports and 1,5 billion euros in imports.
  3. The Dubai Mall, a gigantic shopping center of 1 million square meters, houses 1 luxury boutiques, 800 restaurants and welcomes 160 visitors a day. A gigantic showcase for La French Touch.
  4. The busiest museum in the Arab world, the Louvre Abu Dhabi has already welcomed more than 2 million visitors since its opening in 2017.
