Intensely colored figurative paintings that make her one of the most viewed French painters, in particular thanks to her Instagram account with 347 subscribers. A neighborhood to get lost in

“Chinatown in New York, a bit cliché perhaps and yet quite timeless, so much life, colors and intriguing products. The view of the characteristic buildings of New York is breathtaking. I retain surprising color ranges, reds mixed with pinks, then greens, and a dotted shades of browns and beiges on the walk. »

A book to devour

« A possible life by Line Papin. We met through our voices this summer on France Culture in the program "La grande Table", presented by Sébastien Theme. I was struck by the accuracy of his words as well as his boiling and communicative strength. I read his last book this summer and I was overwhelmed by this essay which is powerful over time. »

A film to discover

« The pleasure of being robbed by Joshua Safdie. I saw this film when it was released in 2008. This film left an indelible mark on me. I keep the colors, but also and above all the atmosphere of ghostly and mysterious New York which gave me the desire to discover the world. »

An inspiring series character

“Very recently I was marked by Carmen Berzatto, interpreted by Jeremy Allen White, in The Bear. I loved his role as a young gourmet chef back in his hometown of Chicago, who takes over his brother's restaurant following his suicide. In this tragic situation, far from his universe, Carmy is fire and ice. Very inspiring and touching to see this character continue despite the weight that crushes him permanently. »

A favorite perfume

“That of a big city awakening, the smell of shaving foam mixed with that of coffee floats in the air, often accompanied by a gentle breeze that carries this comforting smell from one nose to another. »

An iconic recipe

“I have so many! It is very difficult to make the choice that would correspond to me the most. These are things that move over the years, that mark the times and the pages turned.
Without thinking too much, I think of my mother's recipe for peppers in oil and garlic. Very easy and foolproof but absolutely delicious. Red peppers simply emptied of their seeds in the oven at 220 degrees until obtaining a gently caramelized smell, peeled once cooled, cut into thin strips, then drizzled with olive oil and garlic. Keep in the fridge for an hour before serving. »

A photo to share

“Without hesitation that of Nan Goldin, Misty and Jimmy Paulette in a taxi NYC 1991. Nan Goldin has a tragic life, she overwhelms me in her photographs. Her subjects are hers and she fears nothing. She sprinkles her work with an intensity and a violent truth. Its colors are spectacular. »

Music to listen to on a loop

"I live with a musician, so I'm obviously tempted to answer his. Sung in French, more energetic than melancholy, gentle and intelligent: Lucas Bel! And also, here is my playlist of the year, the one with which we can guess and decode my work. »
