Do you know what the Louis Vuitton Foundation, the Grand Palais and the National Gendarmerie Museum have in common? These three cultural institutions have chosen to trust Ask Mona to support their visitors differently thanks to artificial intelligence (AI).

Created in 2017 by Marion Carré and Valentin Schmite, the startup develops conversational tools for public information and mediation. It also offers data analysis solutions to simplify the relationship between cultural institutions and visitors. " Our clients are cultural institutions: museums, monuments, theatres, etc. But our users are the visitors, the general public. », explains Valentin Schmite, co-founder and managing director ofAsk mona. In concrete terms, the visitor can go to the website of an institution and enter into discussion with a chatbot. He will either be able to find out practical information about his visit to the institution or trigger experience mediation systems in the place concerned.. “, he adds.

 

Objective: 1 institutions equipped by 000

Today, more than 80 institutions are equipped with the solutions developed by Ask Mona. " We're slowly starting to expand beyond our borders “, specifies Marion Carré, co-founder and president of the startup. Thanks to a fundraising of 2 million euros carried out in September 2021, it aims to become the European leader in artificial intelligence solutions dedicated to the cultural market. For this, the company wants to double its workforce and continue its investments in R&D in order to experiment and create new solutions mobilizing artificial intelligence. " We are working to develop new formats and identify future applications of artificial intelligence to address cultural issues.. », explains Marion Carré. The key for the start-up: reaching a portfolio of 1 cultural institutions by 000 to participate in their transformation.
