Main stage of NFT Paris

On February 24 and 25, the Grand Palais Ephémère welcomed more than 10 visitors who came to discover NFT Paris, one of the biggest European events dedicated to Web000.

For two days, the City of Light was transformed into the European capital of NFTs. After a first edition which brought together nearly 1 people at Station F in 000, the major Parisian event devoted to non-fungible tokens has once again found its audience. This year, more than 2022 people from all over the world walked the aisles of the Grand Palais Ephémère to discover the latest innovations in Web3. " This place, we really wanted it explains Alexander Tsydenkov, co-founder of NFT Betting. " VShis is a well-known building in Paris, I would even say symbolic. Having an edition that works well at the Grand Palais means that NFTs have entered the culture. “, he justifies.

Democratize NFTs

Barely through the doors, we come across the stand of The Smurfs' Society and his three-meter-tall Smurf, graffitied by the artist André. Printed in 3D from recycled plastic waste, it is intended to be auctioned for the benefit of an association. " We are a collective of Web2 entrepreneurs, moved to Web3 and we wanted to create an impact project, explains Christophe Menard, co-founder of The Smurfs' Society. For this we have recovered the licenses of these characters and we are developing a collection of 12 Smurfs in NFT. A fun way to discover these digital certificates deemed unforgeable because they are powered by the blockchain.

A few steps away, we get down to business. Arianee welcomes visitors to demonstrate that it is possible to reinvent the relationship between brands and their communities thanks to Web3. Between two conferences, the public can, thanks to a QR code affixed to the stand, spin a virtual wheel and win NFTs offered by partner brands. A program that seduced Brigitte Macron, guest star surprise at the show, came to talk at length with the Arianee teams about the possibilities offered by Web3.

Crypto art, star of NFT Paris 2023

Among these new applications, we come across the founders of Billy, a very young company that offers an NFT ticketing solution. " We offer event organizers a fairly virtuous system that allows them to prevent fraud, regulate the secondary market and engage their community by sharing exclusive content “, explains Robin Champseix, co-founder of the startup. Billy's solution also makes it possible to keep his tickets again by transforming them into a digital work of art. " We are quite nostalgic of the time when we could collect our banknotes “, he adds. A vision that resonates with the theme of this edition of NFT Paris: the future of creativity. " The organizers did a great job, and with the digital art pole, we really understand what an NFT is ».

Much more than just a digital work of art, NFTs open up new possibilities for artists. And many works prove it to visitors to this show, such as that of AA Murakami: “The Passage of Ra”. " It's a really impressive installation with smoke rings projecting into a digital world.. », specifies Alexandre Tsydenkov, the co-founder of the event.

On the French creativity side, the Ebb studio by the artist Neil Beloufa, offers visitors the opportunity to generate an image from a scan of their posterior! Created with digital art specialist Nicolas Sassoon, this installation would be “ a mise en abyme of what is happening in the crypto world according to Constantin Beck, project manager. A fun way to desecrate the NFTs to the many visitors to the place.
